Wendy Given is a Portland, Oregon based visual artist. She holds an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art. Given is keenly interested in observing and documenting the otherworldly—or seemingly supernatural, realizing her ongoing fascination with myth and magic. Her work has been exhibited nationally at Fifth Floor (Los Angeles), whitespace (Atlanta), Chelsea Art Museum (New York), Tacoma Art Museum (Washington), The Art Gym at Marylhurst University (Oregon), and at Blue Sky in Portland (Oregon). Given's work was recently included in the exhibition 31 Women in Art Photography by Humble Arts in conjunction with Hasted Kraeutler, and will be included in the exhibition Sanctified at the Vincent Price Art Museum in February 2013.
