Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is a nonprofit organization supporting at-risk urban youth. In 29 years, SEI has grown from a 1-week summer basketball camp to a flourishing agency, serving thousands of students in the greater Portland, Oregon area, with plans to replicate across the country.

Bio
Shawn Records holds a BA from Boise State University and an MFA from Syracuse University. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Light Work, and the Portland Art Museum and has been shown widely, including a solo exhibition at Blue Sky Gallery and group exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Jen Bekman Gallery, and others. His work has been published in Contact Sheet, Remain in Light, Camerawork, Photography Quarterly, Pause to Begin, DoubleTake, Adbusters, and Vice. His editorial work has appeared in many publications, including Dwell, W, Jalous, and Modern Painters. Based in Portland, Oregon, Records also teaches photography and serves as President of the Board of Directors of Photolucida, a non-profit organization committed to assisting emerging and mid-career photographers.
