Fundacion Veteranos de Guerra de Jinotega is an organization that operates in the remote regions of Northern Nicaragua. They provide psychological counseling, micro finance loans, educational and training programs to veterans who fought in the Nicaraguan Civil war during the 1980’s. They provide assistance to BOTH sides who fought, as well as the families of those who were lost, regardless of political affiliation.

Bio

Kevin Kunishi is a photographer based in San Francisco, CA. His work has been recognized by numerous organizations and publications including The New Yorker, The Sunday Telegraph, VICE, American Photo Magazine, The International Photography Awards, Le Journal de la Photographie, AI-AP, the New York Photo Festival, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, Monocle, ONWARD, Photo District News, CENTER, Photolucida, Photographer’s Forum and Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3). His work has exhibited nationally at Project Basho in Philadelphia, PA, Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco, CA, The Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, The Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C., The Daylight Project Space in Hillsborough, NC and Jen Bekman Gallery in New York. His first monograph, Los Restos de la Revolución, was released in the Fall of 2012 by Daylight Publishing.
