Kelly Shimoda is a documentary and fine-art photographer based in Beacon, NY. She freelances for The New York Times as well as magazines here and abroad; has exhibited in a number of shows including at the Jen Bekman Gallery; and has won several awards for her work, including an ICP/Johnson and Johnson Fellowship. She’s spent the past few years working on personal projects, including photographing other people’s cell phone text messages and locations in their ‘offseason’.
